An individual, individual(s), or entity, that possesses a Residential Unit
which provides housing to families as a rental for a period of time subject
to a legally-binding lease agreement.
When providing housing to families or individuals, whether it is
legally-binding through a lease agreement or not, as a Landlord, you are
opening the door to potential risks such as non-payment, property
damage, unforeseen disturbances, unlawful activities, and much more. As
a result, tenants and landlords may be required to settle disputes in the
Landlord-Tenant Division of the County’s respective Civil Court.
Unforeseen circumstances arise quite often for landlords, and find
themselves in positions where they ultimately need to seek for assistance.
At NHLA, we offer essential tools and resources to ensure that landlords
are well-informed about their rights as homeowners. If a landlord
encounters an issue with a tenant during or after tenancy, NHLA will assist
in all aspects of documentation preparation, court proceedings related to
evictions and non-payment in the Landlord-Tenant Divison, and
correspondence with tenants and other parties if necessary. NHLA has a
proven track record of successfully achieving favorable outcomes for
homeowners in various unforeseen circumstances.
